“Screen”

“Screen”, 2011
Screen-printed paper, colored felt, 75 x 62 cm.

The word screen in my work brings together and covers different meanings. Thus, he designates both the fabric to be exposed, the stretched frame and the operation of creating the image: “preparing a screen. »
It therefore designates several constituent realities of the work:

-a production object: (which is used for production) the silkscreen frame,
– the silkscreen image production surface, the exposed surface in the frame,
– the image production operation,
– the object of the production, surface delimited on the paper,
-the final object, the painting itself, and the place of the expected image, the screen as an image.
