“Ribbs Cup”

“Ribbs Cup”. Parian porcelain, PLA 3D printed, 11x11x17cm.

This hybrid object is part of the designer’s ongoing dialogue between physical and digital manufacturing methods. The top is in slip-molded porcelain. For this series, the designer scanned different shapes that she made in clay. These hand shapes are 3D printed and then combined with the porcelain part to create this standing mug.
