¡Peligro!
Peligro means danger in Spanish and the initial attraction to these small tableaux was through the bright yellow ¡Peligro! warning tape tied to some of them. The warnings had been attached because the covers of these electrical junction boxes had been removed, exposing the Holy Trinity of mains electrical cables, which in turn had connections to domestic supplies springing off them. I initially thought that the inverted exclamation mark before the word as well as after gave a slightly jocular, comical appearance, reflected in the forms and shapes of the small groups. After my initial photographs, I realised that they also appeared quite menacing, underlining their very real dangerous nature. The more electrical junction boxes I saw, the more I was attracted because of this paradoxical disconnect; funny and sinister, comical and dangerous, much like Ghost Trains were for me when I was a child.
