“Marine Fossil”

“Marine Fossil”, 2021. Metal mesh, concrete, shells and various elements recovered on the beach, 75.5 x 30.5 x 17 cm.

This sculpture resembles a fragment of architecture rejected by the sea on which marine elements and waste have been grafted. It is a kind of contemporary archeology mixing building materials and natural elements. This work questions the sorting of domestic waste but also construction site waste that too often ends up in the oceans.
