In Latin America the artist uses materials linked to the earth such as wood, paper and thread. Through these materials, their development and the relationship the artist create between them, the artist questions us about the way in which the inequality between countries existing in the capitalist system is everyone’s responsibility. The wealth of some and the poverty of others are a necessary part of the circle of exploitation: for there to be rich, there must be exploitation and excessive exploitation generates poverty.
