Libardo and Alba, an elderly couple who live in the nursing home, try to get fifty thousand pesos (15 USD) to rent a hotel room for one night. That illusion of intimacy contrasts with a ritual: A man empties the beds of the people who have died. The passage of time is marked by the romantic lyrics of the songs on the radio, or the telenovela dialogues watched by the inmates, which contrast with the restriction of intimacy moments that live the two lovers. The beauty of the film resides precisely in this triviality: the death that is increasingly closer to the mains characters is materialized in a banal ritual performed by a maintenance agent, while the story of love that is told crystallizes around the 15,000 pesos that Libardo will have to get. This goal, at once gigantic and of absolute modesty, is in fact that of the film itself, which seems to get rid of all the artifices to better tell, in a flashback as subtle as it is discreet, the life of a man and a father.

The told story is the result of a process of multiple re-elaborations of the original story to find the fictions they created in their memories based on their reality but also with their dreams and fantasies.
