“Armchair – A002”

This acoustic chair is intended for the Matrice startup incubator to be placed in their reception area on the ground floor of their premises, the Villa Barillet in Paris.

The purpose of the Barillet armchair is to offer an acoustic treatment to its users thanks to the walls and backrest that compose it. This is to allow users to make calls in peace or simply sit on it and enjoy the sense of calm it provides.

The roof of this one is in frosted plexiglass, allowing diffuse lighting to be created inside the armchair when placed under a light source. The majority of the materials for this chair come from the ressourcerie: the arts reserve. The legs of the chair come from old tables from the incubator for which the chair was designed. The incubator therefore finds an element of its old tables in this armchair. After many transformations of materials, the Barillet armchair, marked by the imprint of the incubator, begins its life surrounded by the Incubated.
