ALEXANDRE ERRE.

Alexandre Erre was born in 1990 in Nouméa. He lives and works between France and Kanaky-New Caledonia.

Her artistic approach revolves around her experience as a queer person from Melanesia, and the celebration of the cultures and communities of Oceania. It explores more generally issues relating to memory, exoticization, and insularity.

Her research is based on her personal history, and draws on her vernacularity and diasporic present. In his work, he seeks to open spaces for healing and pleasure, in response to the violence that populates our daily lives and our imaginations.
