The lamps in the FRAGMENT collection are not intended as reinvented, redesigned objects, but as another way for the designer to intervene with what he has in his hands.
We draw today from our environment to create, to concretize our thought, considering it only as a resource. FRAGMENT lamps are objects putting the hand
of man and the environment on the same level. Enhanced by the glow of the bulb, the raw rock becomes the identity of the lamp, and, attached by a strap to the roughness of the rock, the lamp is stabilized, adapting to the shape of the stone. As in nature, each object then becomes unique, artifact, only linked by the same system.
These lamps go for a walk! Photographs in di!erent places testify to a lamp whose design is never “fixed, in continual adaptation with its environment. The rocks are often extracted far from their “nal use, and their name, GPS location of their point of extraction, recalls their origin. The rock is coming back to life, after having been neglected for a long time by human industry.
