Porcheron Morgane
Morgane Porcheron born in 1990 in Lyon, lives in Paris and shares her studio with other artists in Montreuil. She began her artistic studies with the preparatory class of Fine Arts in Lyon then trained at the Higher Institute of Arts in Toulouse where she obtained her DNAP in 2013. Then passing through an exchange in Shanghai in the Offshore school of Paul Devautour in 2014, she decided to complete her course at the Beaux-Arts in Paris where she obtained her DNSAP in 2016.
"We live in a world where technical and technological prowess is developing at high speed, we are always building higher and faster. The earth is covered with concrete preventing it from breathing. However, in this world lives a whole underground universe teeming with life. and constituting an insidious wealth, invisible at first glance.
My artistic work revolves around the impact of nature on human constructions. I thus highlight the force that nature has to develop, in particular in an urbanized landscape. I constantly confront natural materials linked to life, such as earth and plants, with construction materials linked to buildings, such as concrete, plaster or even welded wire mesh.
I create from the history and materials of specific places in order to immerse myself in them, then question them. Different eras and cultures thus take shape plastically.
Thus, through walks, trips and artist residencies, I collect elements related to the surrounding spaces. In situ, I trace their history, then I develop an archeology of everyday life. I highlight foundations, strata and often concealed yet essential architectural components.
My research is defined in echo with the living, the landscape and the architecture in which a double ambivalent tension between craftsmanship and manufacturing is played out; a back and forth is established between the intervention of Man on nature and the constancy of the latter to regain its rights. "

Elle débute son cursus artistique par la classe préparatoire des Beaux-Arts de Lyon puis se forme à l’Institut Supérieur des Arts de Toulouse où elle obtient son DNAP en 2013. Passant ensuite par un échange à Shanghai dans l’école Offshore de Paul Devautour en 2014, elle décide de terminer son parcours aux Beaux-Arts de Paris où elle obtient son DNSAP en 2016.
"Nous habitons un monde où les prouesses techniques et technologiques se développent à grande vitesse, nous construisons toujours plus haut et rapidement. La terre est recouverte de béton l’empêchant de respirer. Cependant, habite en ce monde tout un univers souterrain foisonnant de vie et constituant une richesse insidieuse, invisible au premier coup d’œil.
Mon travail artistique s’articule autour de l’impact de la nature sur les constructions humaines. Je mets ainsi en évidence la force qu’a la nature à se développer, en particulier en paysage urbanisé. Je confronte sans cesse des matériaux naturels liés au vivant, comme la terre et les plantes, à des matériaux de construction liés au bâti, comme le béton, le plâtre ou encore le treillis métallique soudé.
Je crée à partir de l’histoire et des matériaux de lieux spécifiques afin de m’en imprégner, puis les questionner. Différentes époques et cultures prennent ainsi forme plastiquement.
Ainsi, au gré de balades, de voyages et de résidencesa d’artiste, je récolte des éléments liés aux espaces environnants. De façon in-situ, je retrace leur histoire, puis, j’élabore une archéologie du quotidien. Je souligne les fondations, les strates et les composants architecturaux souvent dissimulés, cependant essentiels.
Mes recherches se définissent en écho avec le vivant, le paysage et l’architecture dans lequel se joue d’une double tension ambivalente entre artisanat et manufacture ; un va-et-vient s’instaure entre l’intervention de l’Homme sur la nature et la constance de celle-ci à reprendre ses droits. "
