Petkova Boryana
Boryana Petkova est née à Sofia en Bulgarie en 1985 et a été diplômée de l'Académie Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Sofia en 2011 et de ESAD Valenciennes, France en 2015. Elle vit et travaille aujourd'hui à Paris.
Le travail de Boryana Petkova commence souvent par le dessin - comme pensée, action ou résultat. Elle combine différentes disciplines - vidéo, photographie, sculpture, performance, installation ou son - explorant leur interaction avec le dessin.
En 2015, elle reçoit le prix de dessin Pierre David-Weill de l'Académie française, 2016 elle est nominée pour BAZA prix pour l'art contemporain et en 2017 elle est co-lauréate de la Biennale d'art contemporain (jeune création) de Mulhouse (France).
En 2019, son travail est mentionné par le jury du prix Fénéon (France, Paris) et la même année elle participe à l'exposition Finale réalisée dans le cadre de Gaudenz Ruf prix d’art contemporain à la galerie Structura à Sofia.
Boryana Petkova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1985 and graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia in 2011 and from ESAD Valenciennes, France in 2015. She now lives and works in Paris.
Boryana Petkova's work often begins with drawing - as a thought, action or result. It combines different disciplines - video, photography, sculpture, performance, installation or sound - exploring their interaction with drawing.
In 2015, she received the Pierre David-Weill drawing prize from the Académie française, 2016 she was nominated for BAZA prize for contemporary art and in 2017 she was co-winner of the Contemporary Art Biennale (young creation) from Mulhouse (France).
In 2019, her work was mentioned by the jury for the Prix Fénéon (France, Paris) and the same year she participated in the Finale exhibition carried out within the framework of Gaudenz Ruf contemporary art prize at the Structura gallery in Sofia.
