Simone Lucia
Lucia Simone est née à Pérouse (IT) en 1986, où elle a commencé à étudier l'art et la musique. En 2010, elle est diplômée de l'Accademia Di Belle Arti de Rome, où en 2013 elle complète successivement la peinture et la gravure directe. En 2009, elle compose la musique originale du court-métrage « Love Conquers Mountains » de Fernanda Moneta. En 2012, elle obtient une bourse de peinture en tant qu'assistante de Gianfranco Notargiacomo, qui enseigne la peinture à l'Accademia Di Belle Arti de Rome. Elle était responsable de l'enseignement des techniques artistiques de base. Ses œuvres sont présentes dans les Archives des graveurs italiens de Bagnacavallo, dans les Archives de la Biennale internationale de gravure d'Aqui, dans la collection privée Archanes 6 (Héraklion, Crète, GR) et dans le Sixième répertoire des graveurs italiens. Elle a remporté plusieurs prix dont une résidence d'artiste, troisième prix de la FIG internationale de Bilbao, elle a exposé dans divers musées dont MACRO La Pelanda (RM, IT), Musée autrichien de la vie populaire et des arts populaires, et des lieux prestigieux tels que Palazzo Montecitorio et Palazzo Vecchio pour le Premio Firenze. Une exposition personnelle particulièrement importante était "Uncanny" à la galerie Interzone (RM - IT) où l'observateur était amené à faire face à ses propres faiblesses en regardant des œuvres numériques et picturales qui incluent un contenu dérangeant enveloppé dans une représentation apparemment réconfortante. Cette recherche s'est développée en "Réalité consommée" à la galerie Fondamenta, qui a été couverte en profondeur dans le magazine Inside Art de décembre 2018. Une résidence d'artiste au MACRO (Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma), comprend la peinture en direct et une exposition de ses œuvres dans un des ateliers du musée (2 - 9 décembre 2019). Gian Ruggero Manzoni, Cecilia Casorati et Viola Di Grado ont écrit des textes critiques sur son travail. Elle vit et travaille à Rome.
L'art de Lucia Simone fixe le moment de l'urgence psychique : l'instant où les choses, les visages, les émotions sont sur le point de s'estomper ou déjà partis, donc ce à quoi nous devons assister en tant qu'êtres humains habitant le temps n'est rien d'autre que des restes, le cri alarmé de ceux des choses qui doivent persister, nous défier, essayer de trouver leur place dans les ombres amères ou l'inconscient. Comme l'artiste l'a elle-même déclaré, elle utilise : « le pouvoir suggestif des images et, plus généralement, les médias que je trouve les plus appropriés pour exprimer ma pensée dans un contexte spécifique. Je collectionne essentiellement des photos vintage, choisies pour leur pouvoir évocateur[...]".

IAGA Contemporary Art est une galerie créée en 2014 à Cluj-Napoca en Roumanie. La galerie, née de la volonté entrepreneuriale d'un collectionneur, Alberto Perobelli et spécialisé dans l'art contemporain, comprend également une sélection rigoureuse d'œuvres d'art moderne, à comprendre comme des moments de réflexion sur l'évolution des langages contemporains. et des lieux de comparaison entre les différentes recherches artistiques.
IAGA possède une collection d'œuvres d'art originales d'artistes émergents et établis et organise généralement six expositions par an, sous la direction de Rosalba Di Pierro, galeriste. La mission d'IAGA Contemporary Art est de créer des liens entre des artistes de toute l'Europe, ainsi qu'un réseau d'artistes, de collectionneurs et d'experts en art.

She was responsible for teaching basic art techniques. Her works are present in the Archive of the Italian Engravers of Bagnacavallo, in the Archive of the Aqui International Biennal for engraving, in the private collection Archanes 6 (Heraklion, Creta, GR), and in the Sixth Repertoire of Italian Engravers. She has won several awards including an artist residence, third Prize of the International FIG Bilbao, she has exhibited in various museums including MACRO La Pelanda (RM, IT), Austrian Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art, and prestigious venues such as Palazzo Montecitorio and Palazzo Vecchio for the Premio Firenze. A solo exhibition of particular importance was “Uncanny” at the Interzone gallery (RM - IT) where the observer was led to face his own weaknesses by looking at digital and pictorial work which include disturbing content wrapped in a seemingly comforting representation. This research developed into “Consumed Reality” at Fondamenta gallery, which was covered in depth in the Inside Art Magazine of December 2018. An artist residence at the MACRO (Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma), includes live painting and an exhibition of her works in one of the museum’s ateliers (December 2 - 9, 2019). Gian Ruggero Manzoni, Cecilia Casorati and Viola Di Grado have written critical texts about her work. She lives and works in Rome.
Lucia Simone's art fixes the moment of psychic emergency: the instant when things, faces, emotions are about to fade or already gone, hence what we have to attend as human beings inhabiting time is nothing more than left-overs, the allarmed cry of those things that must persist, defyning us, trying to find their place in the bitter shades or the subconscious. As the artis herself declared, she uses :” the suggestive power of images and, more generally, the media I find most suitable to express my thought in a specific context. I basically collect vintage photos, chosen for their evocative power[...]".
