Rimond Patrick
Patrick Rimond est un artiste photographe vivant en France. Bien que protéiforme, la photographie de Patrick Rimond relève toujours d’un désir d'éprouver son rapport au réel. Dans le paysage, il recherche un point d'harmonie entre lui et le monde. La démarche qui est sobre et sensible, se double d’une quête de spiritualité discrète. Il pratique aussi le portrait et le collage numérique. Après un diplôme d’ingénieur obtenu à Paris en 1995, Patrick Rimond s’installe au Japon pour neuf années. En parallèle de commandes pour l’Agence VU et le journal le Monde, il expose : Plaza Gallery Sengawa Tokyo, Graf museum-gallery Osaka, ISSISS Gallery Kyoto. À son retour en Europe en 2006, il ouvre sa pratique à des collaborations avec d’autres artistes et explore les techniques de post-photographie.Il co-organise le festival des nouvelles pratiques photographiques, la Biennale de l’Image Tangible. Dans ce champ photographique, il rejoint en 2020 la résidence Organoïde, Art et Sciences, initié par Fabrice Hyber et la la Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso à l’Institut Pasteur.
Ses photographies ont donné lieu à la publication de cinq livres monographiques, dont QASD 2019, Hudros 2016 (éd. Iki) et PORTRAITS (éd. Presses de l’ENSTA) 2009. Son travail est régulièrement exposé : Floor_, Séoul, galerie Nadar, Tourcoing, galerie Sophie Leiser, Paris, Les Promenades Photographiques, Vendôme, MABA, Nogent-sur-Marne, galerie Lab Artyfact Paris, galerie Dufay-Bonnet , Paris, Musée d’Histoire de la Photographie, Cracovie, Plateforme, Paris, galerie KH15, Berlin.

Patrick Rimond is an artist photographer living in France.
Although multifaceted, Patrick Rimond's photography always comes from a desire to experience his relationship with reality. In landscape photography, he seeks a point of harmony between himself and the world. His approach, which is sober and sensitive, is coupled with a discreet quest spirituality. He also practices portraiture and digital collage.
After obtaining an engineering degree in Paris in 1995, Patrick Rimond moved to Japan for nine years. In parallel with commissions for the VU Agency and the newspaper Le Monde, he exhibited : Plaza Gallery Sengawa Tokyo, Graf museum-gallery Osaka, ISSISS Gallery Kyoto.
Back in Europe in 2006, he opened his practice to collaborations with other artists and explored post-photographic techniques. He co-organises the festival of new photographic practices, the Biennale of the Tangible Image. In this field of photography, he joined in 2020 the residency Organoïde, Art et Sciences, initiated by Fabrice Hyber and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation at the Institut Pasteur.
