Morandi Albano

Albano Morandi, né à Salò en 1958, vit et travaille à Raffa di Puegnago del Garda.
En 2000, il remporte le premier prix ex aequo du 40e Prix Suzzara, auquel il participe également en 1993 et 2008. En 2007, il participe au collectif « Défense de la Nature Joseph Beuys », l'un des événements parallèles du 52e Biennales de Venise.

Six expositions personnelles sont consacrées à ses trente années de recherche en 2011, incluses dans le projet « IMAGES D'UNE EXPOSITION », bien que chacune représente différents types d'œuvres. Les expositions sont situées entre Brescia et Milan: à l'ancienne église des Saints Pierre et Marcellin de Cazarma Goito, l'ancienne caserne Serafino Gnutti, Galleria delle Battaglie, l'Association culturelle d'art contemporain Maurer Zilioli, Ken Damy Visual Art et Spazio Temporaneo.

L'artiste s'est consacré à plusieurs expositions itinérantes, telles que "Manifesto per un Dadaismo ludico" ("Manifeste pour un dadaïsme ludique") au Spazio Temporaneo (Milan) et au Calcinatello Civic Center (Calcinato) en 2006 et au Victoria Art Center (Bucarest ) en 2017 ; « Immagini rubate a memoria » (« Images volées de la mémoire ») en 2017 à la Galleria Milano (Milan) et l'année suivante à la Galleria Niart (Ravenne) ; «Il Partito preso delle cose» («La fête sur les choses») a été présenté pour la première fois au Palazzo Bertazzoli (Bagnolo Mella) en 2018, puis transféré au Palazzo della Corgna (Città della Pieve) en 2019.

En 2017, la première anthologie a été créée à la Fondation Vittorio Leonesio à Puegnago del Garda, et en 2021, une seconde a été créée au Palazzo Martinengo Cesaresco Novarino (Brescia) à l'occasion des quarante ans de sa recherche artistique, intitulée "Albano Morandi. Il n'y a absolument rien d'inhabituel ici, pour autant que je puisse voir, pourtant je brûle de curiosité et d'émerveillement. Travaux 1981-2021, qui a inauguré le projet triennal "Generazione di mezzo".
À ce jour, il y a plus de 150 expositions dans les grandes villes européennes, en Asie et aux États-Unis, auxquelles les œuvres d'Albano Morandi participent.

Ses œuvres font partie de diverses collections publiques, telles que : Banca Credito Italiano, Milan ; Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, Rome; Dessin Collection Civique, Salò; Galerie d'Art Contemporain, Bologne; Kunstforum Bassa Atesina, Egna; Le Jardin Botanique de l'Université d'Études de Palerme ; Collection de Dessin Contemporain, Galerie Civique, Modène; Stadtische Kunsthalle, Mannheim ; Centre de dessin, New York.
En outre, de 1984 à aujourd'hui, Morandi a été coordinateur de la Collection civique de dessins à Salò et coordinateur des expositions organisées par la province de Brescia au palais Martinengo Cesaresco et sur le reste du territoire provincial.

Jusqu'en 2021, il était responsable du service spécialisé en art contemporain de la mairie de Brescia et est actuellement directeur artistique de la Fondation Vittorio Leonesio à Puegnago del Garda. En 2003, il conçoit "Meccaniche della Meraviglia" dont le directeur et commissaire est toujours une revue annuelle d'art contemporain destinée à faire connaître et à mettre en valeur des lieux petits mais significatifs de la région de Brescia, à travers des expositions d'art contemporain réparties sur tout le territoire.

IAGA Contemporary Art est une galerie créée en 2014 à Cluj-Napoca, en Roumanie. La galerie, née de la volonté entrepreneuriale d'un collectionneur, Alberto Perobelli et spécialisée dans l'art contemporain, comprend également une sélection rigoureuse d'œuvres d'art moderne, à comprendre comme des moments de réflexion sur l'évolution des langages contemporains et des lieux de comparaison entre les diverses recherches artistiques.
IAGA possède une collection d'œuvres d'art originales d'artistes émergents et établis et organise généralement six expositions par an, sous la direction de Rosalba Di Pierro, galeriste. IAGA Contemporary Art se donne pour mission de créer des liens entre des artistes de toute l'Europe, ainsi qu'un réseau d'artistes, de collectionneurs et d'experts en art.
La galerie promeut des artistes de Roumanie, d'Italie, de Pologne, de Moldavie et d'autres pays, en mettant l'accent sur les jeunes artistes qui ont la possibilité de grandir. En dépit d'être une jeune galerie, IAGA est extrêmement active sur le marché de l'art international et cela est démontré par de nombreuses collaborations avec des institutions d'art et des galeries du monde entier et la participation à des foires et événements d'art internationaux, parmi lesquels Bologna Artefiera, Art Athina, Art Market Budapest , Art Thessalonique, Art Bruxelles. Il convient de mentionner la collaboration avec l'artiste de renom Hermann Nitsch, qui a abouti à une exposition personnelle dans les locaux de la galerie en 2017.

The exhibitions are located between Brescia and Milan: at the former church of Saints Peter and Marcellino from Cazarma Goito, the former barracks Serafino Gnutti, Galleria delle Battaglie, the Cultural Association of Contemporary Art Maurer Zilioli, Ken Damy Visual Art and Spazio Temporaneo.

The artist was dedicated to several travelling exhibitions, such as “Manifesto per un Dadaismo ludico” (“Manifesto for a playful Dadaism”) in Spazio Temporaneo (Milan) and the Calcinatello Civic Centre (Calcinato) in 2006 and the Victoria Art Centre (Bucharest) in 2017; ‘Immagini rubate a memoria’ (‘Images stolen from memory’) in 2017 at Galleria Milano (Milan) and the following year at Galleria Niart (Ravenna); ‘Il Partito preso delle cose’ (‘The Party on Things’) first brought to Palazzo Bertazzoli (Bagnolo Mella) in 2018 and subsequently transferred to Palazzo della Corgna (Città della Pieve) in 2019.

In 2017, the first anthology was created at the Vittorio Leonesio Foundation in Puegnago del Garda, and in 2021, a second one was established at Palazzo Martinengo Cesaresco Novarino (Brescia) on the occasion of the forty years of its artistic research, entitled "Albano Morandi. There is absolutely nothing unusual here, as far as I can see, yet I burn with curiosity and wonder. Works 1981-2021, which inaugurated the three-year project “Generazione di mezzo”.
To date, there are over 150 exhibitions in major European cities, Asia and the United States, in which Albano Morandi’s works participate.

In addition, from 1984 to today, Morandi was coordinator of the Civic Drawing Collection in Salò and coordinator of exhibitions organised by the Province of Brescia in Palazzo Martinengo Cesaresco and the rest of the provincial territory.

Until 2021 he was in charge of the Contemporary Art Specialist Service of the Brescia City Hall, and is currently artistic director of the Vittorio Leonesio Foundation in Puegnago del Garda. In 2003, he conceived “Meccaniche della Meraviglia” whose director and curator is still an annual review of contemporary art designed to make known and highlight little but significant places in the Brescia area, through exhibitions of contemporary art spread throughout the territory.

IAGA Contemporary Art is a gallery established in 2014 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The gallery, born from the entrepreneurial desire of a collector, Alberto Perobelli and specializing in contemporary art, also includes a careful selection of works of modern art, to be understood as moments of reflection on the evolution of contemporary languages and places of comparison between the various artistic researches.
IAGA boasts a collection of original artworks both by emerging and established artists and usually organizes six exhibition every year, under the management of Rosalba Di Pierro, gallery manager. IAGA Contemporary Art makes its mission to create connections between artists from all over Europe, as well as a network of artists, collectors and art experts.
The gallery promotes artists from Romania, Italy, Poland, Moldova and other countries, with a focus on young artists who are given the possibility to grow. Despite being a young gallery, IAGA is extremely active in international art market and this is demonstrated by numerous collaborations with art institutions and galleries the world over and the participation at international art fairs and events, among which Bologna Artefiera, Art Athina, Art Market Budapest, Art Thessaloniki, Art Brussels. It is worth mentioning the collaboration with renowned artist Hermann Nitsch, which resulted in a personal exhibition at the gallery own’s venue in 2017.
