Manfred Makra. Born 1956 in Graz/Austria.
After completion of his secondary education, he opens his first studio in Graz at the age of 19.
Initially influenced by Austrian post-war art, Informel, and Art Brut.
Discovers the oeuvre of the Lombard painter Antonio Calderara in 1982. From then on, continuous development of a contemplative visual and formal language (poetry of the few).
Later on, engagement with the Renaissance term “Archipittura” (fusion of architecture and painting) and wall painting: national and international projects with architects. Several trips to Japan; Influenced by the aesthetic of Japanese Zen Buddhism. Visual arts Projects involving literature, photography, music, and film.
Exhibitions and art projects in Europe, the US, Australia, Japan, China and Dubai.

Après avoir terminé ses études secondaires, il ouvre son premier studio à Graz à l'âge de 19 ans. Initialement influencé par l'art autrichien d'après-guerre, Informel et l'Art Brut, il découvre l'œuvre du peintre Lombard Antonio Calderara en 1982. Dès lors, il entreprend un développement continu d'un langage visuel et formel contemplatif (poésie de quelques-uns).
