Guérin Harold
Né à Reims en 1981, Harold Guérin est diplômé de l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Nancy en 2006. Il vit et travaille aujourd'hui entre la Normandie et Paris.
Sa démarche artistique s’intéresse à nos façons de représenter le territoire, de le saisir et de se l’approprier. Il interroge les relations des individus au paysage, en vue d’un voyage et d’y projeter son imagination. Par le dessin, la sculpture, l’installation et la photographie, il s’attache à jouer sur des troubles de la perception.
Dans ses œuvres, cartes géographiques, appareils photo, instruments de mesure et de représentation, sont alors détournés de leur fonction première. Les écarts se réduisent entre l’outil, l’image d’un territoire et l’expérience physique d’un lieu. Différentes temporalités sont au cœur de son travail. De l'action d’un objet à la lenteur d’un processus, l’artiste cherche à faire surgir une certaine mémoire des paysages.
Il participe à différents programmes de résidence en France et à l'étranger, dont ceux du Frac Champagne-Ardenne, d'Astérides à Marseille, du FRAC Alsace, au MACMA au Venezuela, MeetFactory à Prague ou encore Residency Unlimited à New-York.
Son travail est notamment exposé lors de la triennale Moving Worlds - Luxembourg, Jeune création au Centquatre - Paris, The journey à MeetFactory - Prague, Jardinons les possibles aux Grandes Serres de Pantin, Turbulences à la galerie 24 Beaubourg - Paris, ainsi qu'à l'occasion d'expositions personnelles telles que Hors champs à La chaudronnerie, Frac Champagne-Ardenne- Reims, inclinaisons variables au CAMAC - Marnay-sur-seine, Frozen Dynamics à la galerie HO - Marseille, Solo show à DDessin Paris ou encore To dig dug dug, , Frac Alsace - Saverne.
Il enseigne cette année à l'ESAD d'Angers dans le cadre du projet « Paysages vécus / Paysages perçus » mené par l'atelier B.A.D.

He lives and works today between Normandy and Paris.
His artistic approach is interested in our ways of representing the territory, of understanding it and of appropriating it. He questions the relationships of individuals to the landscape, with a view to traveling and projecting his imagination there. Through drawing, sculpture, installation and photography, he seeks to play on disorders of perception.
In his works, geographical maps, cameras, measuring and representation instruments are then diverted from their primary function. The gaps are reduced between the tool, the image of a territory and the physical experience of a place. Different temporalities are at the heart of his work. From the action of an object to the slowness of a process, the artist seeks to bring out a certain memory of the landscapes.
He participates in various residency programs in France and abroad, including those of Frac Champagne-Ardenne, Asterides in Marseille, FRAC Alsace, MACMA in Venezuela, MeetFactory in Prague and Residency Unlimited in New York.
His work is notably exhibited during the Moving Worlds - Luxembourg triennial, Jeune Création au Centquatre - Paris, The journey at MeetFactory - Prague, Jardinons les Possibles at the Grandes Serres de Pantin, Turbulences at the 24 Beaubourg Gallery - Paris, as well as at the occasion of personal exhibitions such as Hors champs at La Chaudronnerie, Frac Champagne-Ardenne- Reims, variable inclinations at CAMAC - Marnay-sur-Seine, Frozen Dynamics at the HO gallery - Marseille, Solo show at DDessin Paris or To dig dug dug,, Frac Alsace - Saverne.
This year he teaches at the ESAD of Angers within the framework of the project "Lived Landscapes / Perceived Landscapes" led by the B.A.D workshop.
