Chrystèle Gonçalves lives and works in Marseille. Oil painting is her main medium.
She has always sought in her paintings to superimpose and expose the multitude of layers which constitute the temporal natures of the same event.
From an epiphany results the appearance of painting on the canvas by a slow superposition of successive layers and then by a kind of organic proliferation. A tension is created between figuration and vegetal abstraction.
A graduate of ESADMM (Marseille), her work was exhibited at the Fernand Léger plastic arts center in Port de Bouc as part of the HYBRID'ART contemporary art fair in 2018, she is regularly invited to exhibitions collective in Marseille, Nice (Nopoto) or recently in Paris (H Gallery).
Installation "Propager la mousse" for the exhibition VIVRE UN JOUR DE PLUS, H Gallery, Paris, February 2020. Red mist born of moss, oil on canvas 146 x 114 cm and installation of natural foam and rainwater.
