J'ai obtenu mon diplôme de photographie d'art (BA Hons) à l'école d'art de Glasgow en 2001 et j'ai travaillé dur pour m'établir en tant que photographe professionnel et artiste respecté depuis lors. Je suis spécialisé dans la macrophotographie (mes "petites personnes") et la photographie à longue exposition (l'art du "light painting").
Mon travail a reçu une attention très appréciée au fil des ans, ce qui m'a amené à participer à des projets très intéressants dans le monde entier. Parmi les faits marquants de ces dernières années, citons le fait que certaines de mes photographies ont été vendues par John Lewis, la Scotia Gallery et RISE ART, et que certaines de mes œuvres ont fait le tour du monde sur les incroyables bateaux de croisière AIDA (certaines de mes œuvres d'art miniatures peuvent être vues sur les bateaux de croisière). J'ai aussi récemment travaillé avec SONY, ThreeUK et Adobe sur des projets miniatures passionnants.
En 2018, j'ai fait le grand saut et je suis devenu un artiste à temps plein. En plus d'exposer régulièrement mon travail, je dirige des ateliers de photographie créative que j'enseigne à des collègues photographes et à des étudiants, et fin 2018, j'ai également commencé à voyager dans le pays et à enseigner mes ateliers dans les écoles et les collèges à travers l'Écosse.
I graduated from the Fine Art Photography (BA Hons) course at the Glasgow School of Art in 2001 and have been working hard to establish myself as a respected professional photographer and artist ever since. I specialise in macro photography (my ‘Little People’) and long-exposure photography (the art of ‘light painting’).
My work has received some very welcome attention over the years which has led to me becoming involved in some very exciting projects all over the world. A list of projects and exhibitions can be found below as well as a list of some recent media coverage. Highlights of recent years include having some of my photography stocked by John Lewis, Scotia Gallery and RISE ART, as well as now having some of my work sailing around the world on the amazing AIDA cruise ships (some of my miniature. artworks can be seen in the onboard restaurants). I have also recently worked with SONY, ThreeUK and Adobe on exciting miniature projects.
In 2018 I took the plunge and became a full-time Artist. As well as regularly exhibiting my work, I also run Creative Photography Workshops which I teach to fellow photographers and students, and in late 2018 I also started traveling the country and teaching my Workshops in schools and colleges across
Scotland.
