Futterknecht Fanni
Née à Vienne, Fanni Futterknecht a étudié les beaux-arts, la peinture contextuelle et la vidéo à la Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam et à l'Académie des Beaux-arts de Vienne.
Elle a participé au CNDC à Angers en France à des recherches sur le spectacle vivant, l'espace et le corps.
Les œuvres de Fanni Futterknecht adoptent une position qui traverse les médias, entre vidéo, performance et installation. Dans ses œuvres, elle réfléchit sur des questions sociologiques et sociales, les transformant en interprétations poétiques.
Dans des réalisations et des traductions spatiales et plastiques, et par le biais du langage, l'artiste travaille – sous forme de performances, de démonstrations, de vidéos et d'installations – à la construction et à la déconstruction de scénarios.
Les installations-performances sont comprises comme des sculptures processuelles, se transformant de manière créative au cours de leur mise en scène.
Une partie de cette enquête porte sur les processus de traduction médiatique et un questionnement sur les médias utilisés dans chaque contexte : la traduction de la performance en vidéo. La vidéo comme une exposition. L'installation comme une performance.
Born in Vienna Fanni Futterknecht has been studying fine art, contextual painting and video at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
She participated at CNDC in Angers in France researching live performance, space and the body.
Fanni Futterknecht's works adopt a position that spans media, ranging between video, performance and installation. In her works she reflects on sociological and social questions, converting them into poetic interpretations. In spatial and plastic realizations and translations, and by means of language, the artist works on – in the form of performance, demonstrations, videos and installations – the construction and deconstruction of scenarios.
Performance-installations are understood as processual sculptures, transforming creatively during their staging. Part of this investigation is a concern with processes of media translation and a questioning of the media employed in each context: the translation of the performance into a video. The video as an exhibition. The installation as a performance.
