Josefina Ayllón est une artiste peintre Italo-Argentine autodidacte, née in 1973.
Elle peint des vifs portraits, qu’elle realise en utilisant de la peinture à l’huile très épaisse.
Dans ces oeuvres expressionnistes, nous retrouvons une attention plus aigüe envers la matière plutôt que sur une reproduction fidèle de la réalité.
Après avoir vécu plusieurs années à Buenos Aires et puis à Paris, elle aménage à Rome, ou elle vie et travaille actuellement.
Josefina Ayllón is an Italian-Argentinian self-taught painter, born in 1973.
She works in oil and acrylic paint and her subject matter focuses on portraiture.
She paints vivid expressionist portraits, but she is less interested in creating the illusion of a likeness than in the physicality of the paint.
Colour, texture, gesture are fundamental elements in her work.
After having lived for several years in Buenos Aires and then Paris, she moved to Rome, where she currently lives and works.
